Literature is defined as writings that have excellence of form or expression, which express ideas of a permanent or universal interest. Literature is not written to give the reader facts. It is not a report, but an opportunity for social practice. It enables the reader to examine thought and action compassionately. The reader can identify with a character and his story allowing him to see life through the eyes of that character, and share the author’s insight .
The ultimate goal of literature is to understand others and ourselves. It provides the reader with clues to life itself. The speaker is the author in disguise controlling what he wants the reader to see and when and how he wants the reader to see it. It is the job o the reader to ask why. This is part of the practice of living- seeing whether others notice what another notices and can make the same interpretations while reaching the same conclusions. Literature offers this practice in understanding and provides a better opportunity in living . ãÇ ÍÏÏÊí ÇáãÚáæãÇÊ ÇáãØáæÈÉ ÇÎÊí Çáãåã ããßä ÊÍÕáí ÊÝÑÚÇÊ ÚÏíÏÉ áåÐÇ ÇáãæÖæÚ æÊÎÊÇÑí ãÇ åæ ãØáæÈ Úáì åÐÇ ÇáÑÇÈØ ÇáÐí ÇÎÐÊ ãäå ÇáÝÞÑÉ ÇáÓÇÈÞÉ http://www.ask.com/web?o=0&qsrc=6&q=...+of+Literature ãÚ ÇáÔßÑ ___________________ ãä ÇÎÑ ãæÇÖíÚ ÇáÝÑÇÔÉ ÇáãÓáãÉ2005 0 åÇ ÇáÚíÏ¡æáÈÓ ÇáÌÏíÏ¡ÝÇÏÚæ ãÚí Çä íÌãÚ Çááå ÇáÃÓÑì ÈÃÍÈÇÆåã ÈÝß ÓÌäåã ÚãÇ ÞÑíÈ 0 åá ãÇ íÍÕá ãÚí ãÑÖ æÇÐÇ ßÇä ßÐáß ãÇ åæ ÇÓãå ÇÑÌæ ÇáãÓÇÚÏÉ 0 Are You An Engilsh Teacher? so use these steps to teach any activity in the book 0 ááÇÎæÇÊ ÇáÑÇÛÈÇÊ Ýí ÊØæíÑ ÇáãÍÇÏËÉ ÈÇááÛÉ ÇáÇäÌáíÒíÉ ÇÔÊÑßí ãÚí 0 ÇáãÇ Á Êáß ÇáãÚÌÒÉ ÇáÛÇÆÈÉ ÚäÇ Ýí ÔÝÇÁ ÇáÇãÑÇÖ¿¿¿
